Modern clothing has nothing on these memorable styles. So strap on your white glove, stretch out the neckline of your favorite sweatshirt, pull on your lace camisole, and empty out an entire can of hairspray as we honor the Top 10 Worst Styles of the 1980s!
#10: The Miami Vice
You know the look – a brightly colored t-shirt under an open white suit jacket. Add some George Michael-esqe stubble, and the ladies would swoon. There’s nothing sexier than a man in a pink t-shirt and white loafers.
#9: Massive Shoulder Pads
We’re not sure whose idea it was to make the concept of women looking like broad-shouldered lumberjacks fashionable during the 80s, but for better or worse, everyone from the sexy stars of Dynasty to the station-wagon driving soccer mom down the street was doing it.
#8: Leg Warmers
With Olivia Newton-John daring us to get physical and dancing prowess of Flashdance leaving us with “What a Feeling,” it was hard not to get wrapped up in the aerobic beauty of leg warmers, leggings and a headband.
#7: Acid Wash Jeans
These speckled light jeans were bad enough as pants. But then we started acid washing our skirts, our shirts and our denim jackets – which, of course, had shoulder pads.
#6: Wearing Your Sunglasses at Night
It didn’t matter the time of the day, the position – or even existence – of the sun. If you were awake, you were wearing your sunglasses.

#4: Neon Socks … and Shorts … and Shirts … and Bracelets
We’re pretty sure automobile-pedestrian accidents must have been at all-time lows in the 80s thanks to the prevalence of bright neon, well, everything!

How novel was this idea: Take otherwise
modest clothing like a t-shirt, and suddenly make it ultra-hip by adding a clip to one side.

The top spot on our list had to go to the mullet, which became popular – along with Bugle Boy pants and high-top sneakers – in the 1980s.
